Joseph A. Casorio
Principal
Joseph Casorio began his optical career in 1971 as a NJ licensed optician. After securing his license, he became president of a group of optical retail stores located throughout NJ. During this time he established the Casorio Buying Group, an optical cooperative he established so buyers could purchase larger quantities of optical inventory at lower prices. This innovative buying strategy is now the standard utilized by most optical retailers. Sensing another change in the eye care industry, Mr. Casorio recognized the need for ophthalmologists to begin dispensing eyewear in their offices. With this in mind, in 1993, he and business partner Kurt Behrle created Vision Associates. Today, the corporation manages dispensaries in ophthalmology practices throughout the United States. Mr. Casorio is married and has two children.
